PROTECT YOURSELF FROM BEING QUENCHED WITH THESE TIPS IN THE CASINO
Casinos are generally very safe places to be. With video cameras scanning every cent on the casino floor, it's easy for people to take their safety for granted. Even with the eyes in the sky, you still need to be looking for thieves, hustlers and conmen who are looking for a fast buck. Here are some tips to prevent you from catching the prey against a scam.

1) It's obvious, but I'll say it - always keep your money safe and visible. I
cannot tell you how many times I've seen the ladies leave their pocket books
over their backs while they play or bend men with their wallets out of their
backpacks.
While the casino cameras can capture almost anything, it can still miss the handy hand of a good bag. Keep your wallet in your front pocket and your wallets safe on your person. If someone bounces you check that you still have everything on you. Of course, if you're just like me and living in New York, you're sure.
2) If you play tables, do not leave your chips on the table if you have to walk away for a minute. Many people pay hundreds - even thousands - dollars to dealers and other casino staff when they show up to make a call, smoke a cigarette or go to the toilet.
Unlike popular belief, dealers are solely responsible for the money of the house - the chips in the dealer's chip bins - not the money that belongs to the players. If somebody had to hurry your chips and yes, the surveillance could probably catch the perpetrator, but they can not make promises to get you back what you've lost. It's better to be safe than sorry, so bring your chips. Color them for higher rated chips before you get away, if that makes it easier for you.
3) Be careful with people who have a sudden interest in you. This situation can take the form of the one who crosses from the left field when you buy in a table or come from a slot machine. It may be the person who approaches you with a sob story about how much money he or she has lost, or the viewer over your shoulder who sees happier and wins you than you are. Or - this is for you guys! - It can even be the beautiful lady that drives you and becomes very friendly in record time.
Chances are, all these people are after your money. Certainly, you will meet a fair stranger so often, just happy to see someone win - and yes, boys, you can really be so happy - but unfortunately these people are little and far between. Instead, more often than not, they are conmen, thieves or call girls. Do not be afraid to ask someone to leave you alone, especially if they are looking for money. Go to another machine or table if you feel uncomfortable, or go directly to casino security to report the problem. Security is there to make sure you have a good time. Knocking the casinos of these people is part of their job. Following these simple tips will make you safer in one of the safest places.
